In a plot to raise money for the mock trailer to their soccer zombie movie Shinpads, Adam and Joe rent out the cable company's camera to a stranger... who disappears and does not return it. Meanwhile, Laura and Corri discover that their new apartment is haunted.

Adam and Joe stage a robbery to help explain how they lost the cable company's camera while Corri and Laura plot to get out of their apartment lease.

While trying to find Axl the cat, Adam and Joe wind up getting sprayed by a skunk. Corri and Laura race to the local convenient store to find vinegar for the boys, but find themselves detained by the police who are suspicious about their questionable purchase.

Fanboy dreams come true when legendary genre actor Tony Todd (Candyman) does a special guest appearance on Adam and Joe's cable access show "The Movie Crypt" and then takes the boys out for a wild night on the town. Their dream come true becomes a living nightmare when the eccentric and larger than life actor moves in on their couch and turns their lives upside down. Meanwhile, Corri breaks up with Kevin.

Tony Todd continues to destroy Adam and Joe's lives by overstaying his welcome and ultimately moving in on the recently single and vulnerable Corri. Adam and Joe stage a plan to murder the arrogant actor and Adam is forced to stand up to the menacing movie star and defend Corri's honor.

Laura becomes the most popular girl on Twitter after mistakenly posting a revealing photo of herself. Meanwhile, Adam and Joe hire a schizophrenic make-up effects artist to help them make their mock trailer for Shinpads. To make matters worse, Adam faces a moral dilemma when Corri offers to pose nude for their project.

The gang attends a local horror convention together in an effort to meet Adam and Joe's favorite film director (John Landis) and hand him their mock trailer for Shinpads. When they can't afford a front-of-the-line "gold pass", Joe pretends to be disabled in order to skip the three hour long wait. Meanwhile, Lance is concerned that he may have caught a sexually transmitted disease after sharing a beer with the lead singer of Faster Pussycat.

After managing to do most everything a fan can do wrong at a horror convention and make enemies with such iconic horror stars as Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder, Adam and Joe finally get their mock trailer for Shinpads into the hands of John Landis. When Landis responds to the boys weeks later in the form of a letter, the result is not what the boys were hoping for.
