The move to a shiny new women's prison is at hand. Lilja, a lifer, is being told off for the amount of stuff she has. Guard Seija works a long day checking the prisoners' belongings. Will anyone miss the old prison?

The new prison is finally ready to welcome its residents - or is it? The work in progress is getting on everyone's nerves amid the moving chaos. Mirella misses her family, who are still out of touch with the phone lines being down.

Prisoners are worried about the future of the sewing workshop. Jane receives bad news from her home country and Mirella is frantically counting down the days left.

Tiina, newly married, arrives to serve her sentence and Lilja prepares for her fourth Christmas in prison. Jane spends the first white Christmas of her life, but misses home more than ever.

Linda, a housewife, is in prison for the first time and misses her child. Jane, an Australian, is on trial for her crime in the Court. Lilja leaves prison for a different kind of institution. Tiina realises that drugs have already taken too much out of her.

Covid isolates the prison from the outside world. Linda spends Mother's Day away from home, Jane dreams of an open prison and Tiina's belongings are rummaged through. The exceptional conditions also affect the daily lives of the staff.

Tiina leaves prison with a light spirit. Linda hears at the court hearing how much time she has left to serve. Lilja and Jane are in the process of moving again, but to different destinations. An old acquaintance returns to prison.

During her sentence, Lilja sees prisoners leave and return. This time, Mirella's trip to prison will be short. Linda receives a decision to transfer to Vanaja. Warden Tuomo returns to the corridors of the old prison.
