Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

A caring teacher who works with at-risk teens dedicates his life to helping his students, even after suffering a major injury. Jesse, the designers, hundreds of volunteers and two special guests work around the clock to renovate his family’s home.

A firefighter hero, his mom and three daughters are living in a cramped apartment and need a fresh start after the loss of his wife. With help from hundreds of volunteers, Jesse and the design team build a brand-new home in less than a week.

The co-founder of a non-profit that inspires at-risk youth has fallen on hard times due to health complications. Jesse, the designers and volunteers surprise his family by renovating their 1970s-style home into a mid-century modern masterpiece.

In a show first, the team surprises two families with a duplex. The military families struggled to adjust to civilian life after active duty, so Jesse and the team enlist volunteers to construct the home in a community built just for veterans.

After a tornado damaged the home of a mom and her daughter, the property has been plagued by undesirable living conditions and mold. Jesse and the team step in to give them a French Country-inspired home that makes health concerns a thing of the past.

A family that dedicated their lives to serving the country now serves the less fortunate, but time has not been kind to their 100-year-old Craftsman. It’s up to Jesse and the design team to help restore the historical home to its former glory.

After gang violence struck too close to home, a couple opened their doors to neighborhood kids to provide a safe haven. The home has seen better days, so Jesse, the designers and volunteers give the large family a space to match the size of their hearts.

A Los Angeles police officer and his family work tirelessly to give back to the homeless population on Skid Row, and their home has become neglected. Jesse and the designers lead a team of volunteers to renovate their home to give them a spa-like retreat.
